I continue to be challenged by teapot making the most difficult of clay forms to make. Each teapot takes several hours to complete, the lid needs to fit securely and the spout to pour well with pot as whole feeling balanced.
I make my teapots from both stoneware and porcelain clays, each giving a different look and feel. The warmth of the traditional stoneware teapot with it's great insulating properties to the cool porcelain with it's refined quality. Both are fired to between 1280 to 1300 degrees centigrade making them durable. They are complimented by cups, jugs, lidded containers and plates. Each piece is designed to add to the enjoyment of tea drinking.
